分詞構文って何だっけ？

二つの文を、asやwhenなどの接続詞でつなぐ代わりに、接続詞で始まる方の文を分詞で始まる副詞句にして、もう一方の文につなぐことがある。その句を分詞構文という。

・普通の文
when he saw the beautiful mountain, he began to took a picture.
彼はその美しい山を見たとき、写真を撮り始めた。

分詞構文の作り方

さて、先ほどの例文を使って分詞構文を造ってみましょう。


1. 接続詞を取る
(when) he saw the beautiful mountain, he began to took a picture.

2. 主節と共通の主語を取る
(he) saw the beautiful mountain, he began to took a picture.

3. 動詞を-ing（現在分詞）に変える
(saw) the beautiful mountain, he began to took a picture.


・分詞構文
Seeing the beautiful mountain, he began to took a picture.
彼はその美しい山を見ると、写真を撮り始めた。
